What Makes Us Different?
We use modern training methods with an emphasis on empowering people from any background to learn in a way which suits them and on whatever schedule they have. We also do what we can to make getting started as easy as possible, even if you’ve never trained before.
Modern Training
Martial arts are full of tradition, but at Horizon BJJ we are always open to new ways of doing things. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to train in the most effective way.
Easy & Cheap To Start
We don't force our members to buy expensive equipment from us. We allow children and adults to train in regular athletic clothes, as long as they are not too loose and don't have zips etc.
Competitors & Hobbyists
Whether you want to train multiple times a day, or just need to squeeze in one class to your busy schedule, we're sure one of our 15 weekly adult sessions will fit!

At Horizon BJJ Academy, age and fitness level are never barriers to starting your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey. Our classes are inclusive and cater to individuals of all ages and fitness abilities. BJJ is known for its adaptability, allowing practitioners to learn at their own pace and gradually improve their physical condition.
You can bring your gi or no-gi attire if you have it, but otherwise you can come with tight-fitting top with shorts or bottoms, ideally without pockets and zips. It's also a good idea to bring some water. In addition, please ensure you're clean, have trimmed nails and are without jewellery (studs can be covered with tape).
